From self-driving cars to genetic editing – the evidence of dramatic change is all around us and is happening at exponential speed. We have entered the 4th industrial revolution, dubbed the human era, and in retail started to see the consumer lead.
At Seen Displays we took the opportunity to invest in new intelligence to help future proof our beloved sector. 10months later we published a white paper in collaboration with cognitive neuroscientist, Araceli Camargo – titled: ‘How to Create Effective Retail Activations. Through the understanding of neuroscience and human behaviour’.
With the four, key cognitive processes, featured in the research paper in mind we refined and adapted our design methodology to include neuroscientific heuristics. To test this thinking before fully implementing in industry, we invited 100 industry leaders to an exclusive live experiment.
‘Pangea 2.0’ – named after the emerging trend of global citizenship – was a highly immersive space designed to engage the senses and encourage personal discovery through a unique experience.
Following the analysis of various quantitative metrics, live feedback from the experiment, and post event interviews, we are delighted to report that our methodology did indeed create an effective, memorable and attachment provoking activation.
